Over the Weekend

Posted on: Monday

Although about 50%of my waking hours this past weekend were spent at work, we did manage to get out  together to enjoy the lovely weather... a stroll through the neighborhood, a jaunt in the west village, a record-perusing stop at Bleecker Bob's... we ran around and before we knew it the weekend was over. At home, Biet can't get enough of her ukulele lessons from her Papa, & Nico (when not being lazy and taking up the whole couch) is quite enjoying baby girl's new dinnertime ritual of holding out her hand with food in it and laughing as her sister-dog licks it over and over {{How do you avoid this? Anyone with dog/baby experience?}} Overall, this weekend was a oatmeal-covered subway-catching stroller-pushing whirlwind that looked a little something like this:

**that last photo is of the near-completed Freedom Tower. We noticed a clear line of vision to it from the bottom of 5th Avenue, and it was the first time Gaby and I had really looked at it, so I snapped a photo.

  2. first, your family is just adorable! I can't imagine city life... we live in SC and its totally slower pace here. Secondly, we use to battle the dog/ toddler thing at our house EVERY DAY! Grr, sometimes I would want to pull my hair out... why eat when feeding the dog is more entertaining? Now, the dog lives outside during the day. But when he was an inside dog, I would warn my bebe, "stop feeding Dallas or he will go bye bye. After my warning, I would remove Dallas from the room. She hated it, but after some consistency and following through, we got through it. And, do you think every day, after a meal, and the dog cleans up the floor, "what do people do without a dog for clean up?" I know we do! Dallas has one job; keep the floors clean! GOOD LUCK!

    1. Yes the dog is indispensable when it comes to clean up! We live in a NYC apartment and don't have an outside to put her in. We might have to use the bedroom. It's hard because its so darn cute to see your little girl learning that she can interact with the dog, but its such a bad habit. I also don't want to be making dinner for the baby and the dog!

    2. When Dallas was an inside dog, the bathroom or bedroom was the solution... hang in there momma, you will get it!

  3. You are so pretty and your life is so lovely!!! Your family reminds me so much of my own. Can we be friends? I live in Oklahoma so I won't be knocking on your door or anything stalker-like! I mean that in the least creepy way possible!!!

Are you going to be at Blogher '12? I am considering a trip to NYC. I'd love to meet you.

My little girl is three in about one week. How old is Biet now? My email is sjhgray@gmail.com ... I'd love to hear from you!

I just love looking at your photos. Makes me daydream about being in NYC... Orange County gets boring this time of year!
